The difference between a website and a web page is that in a website there is a collection of one or more web pages designed to have information on a particular subject or theme to a web user. And a website can have a lot of page with different layouts as well and it can be design for any company, sales, news and etc. And a website can work in any type of browser that it's opening on and it will work as well in each browser. Also a web page is a one screen full of information of a site or topic you are looking for that may contain links to other web pages. But this links can also have external information and a web page will normally be created as an HTML document.
2. What is a story board and a Site-map ?
A site-map in web design is a mapping picture or pictures of how a website or web page is going to work. It shows the navigation of where is the web site or web page is going to be on and it will show how to get there. And also a site-map is also a important communication tool to use when you are talking with your client on the development of a web site or web page. Also, a story board in web design is planning for your final project rather its a web site or web page that will draw a series of storyboards that bring together many of the decisions you've been making on like page layout, content, types of media, and navigation design.
3. Why do you need site maps and story boards?
Someone needs site maps and story boards on a web page or website because they are really helpful on creating on a website, A site map will make you put the information you want on the site everything that is needed. And also in pictures you can change or fix the pattern that you are going to do so the site can work. As well, you need a story board because that's the finally draft like you will know where to put the information or pictures that you will put in the site. You can draw it and once you do it you will put all the layout that you had on the web site.
