Project 4 - Client Website - Samuel Berland

  This year my class and I, had an big project to do with a client that our teacher Mrs.Ramirez introduced us. And the client's name was Samuel E. Berland an important and famous artist. This artist is so famous with his artwork that he paints and credits. He isn't only a artist, he also has other careers like he has his own video company, shows and etc. He has famous cartoons drawings and he as well he sells them. His draws are famous for example the Flash, Superman, and more cartoonist.

So the target for his project is to make a awesome website for him with all his work and information. My group's name was Designer Stars an original name form me and in my group I worked with Katherine Grisales, Rory Watkins and Demetri Jenkins. We all decide to divide the work into four parts and Katherine plus me were the Co-Managers, Rory were in charge in graphic design, and Demetri on images.

We all started to do the first draft which Katherine G. did a sitemap and wireframe. Then what we did was work on the second draft that was to have it plan out how our website will look and all the pages we are going to use. The second draft was convert on a PDF. file and mean while Rory and Demetri were working on the images by scanning them and looking for more images. Then, Katherine and Rory were working on the third draft but on Adobe Fireworks play I was looking for more context on it and Demetri was workin on the images.

Then we came up with the finally website which I worked on it and which it wasn't easy but I try my best to n,wake it look professional.I did 5 awesome pages for Mr.Samuel Berland and I added a lot of CCS, JavaScript and a little of JQuery. I think the final website looked professional and my group really worked hard for this project. We added all the information and artwork from Samuel E. Berland our client on this final website. I have my own copyrights of my page and other work that my group & I used. Overall, I think we did a great job on our project but that doesn't mean we can't edit-it we could still and make it more professional and more comic like Sr.Samuel E. Berland wants it. This can help me in the future but learning how to work with other people on my group and how we can all achieve a goal that we want to accomplish.

Web Client Program 2015 - Project 3 - CFM

  For project 3, we had to work with our group in our class and we had to make a website on the topics we got about CFM. So,  even though in our group we also had to do a presentation and it didn't go that well in this project we decided to make it so wonderful. By what I mean is that in this project 3 my group we took it to the next level. We all talked about it and cut the parts of what information everyone is going to do.

So we found a layout for the website but I fix it a little I change it and made it so awesome. Our page has a little it of animation on it and well I also did a logo for our group because I though it was professional to have one. I also made the social media icons to put on the website so people can add us and follow us. In the other hand, I also decided to put the social media icons so we can show the people that we have a professional group.

I put some animations on the page because we only had one and you have to scroll down to view our website. As well, our negation bar is just going down and it's only one color blue so it can match our background. In the website, we example the were some rolls of  government/economy. And we also example how technology has change the sociality. We used images to show what we were talking about and how it relates to the topic we had.

Michelle from our group did also a mini PowerPoint to show the class and what we did in the project. And I also decided to make an extra page and putting all the copyrights of what my group had used because the images wasn't ours. We had to give credit to the people that took the pictures also so we wouldn't get in trouble or nothing like that. We had some misunderstands in our group but we worked it up and well I had to fix add/take out information in our website but I think we did I a good job.

Hope this website that we did well teach the class of our topic and what we came as a group. This project 3, can help me in the future by learning how to work more with people in a group. Also, I have learn more skills on CSS, JavaScript and JQuery. In the other hand, I need to learn how to use my time and do things on time.

Budget Form - 3 Different Jobs

  According to the BLS reports a Web Developer makes a median salary of $43,000 and this job is rate #4 as one of the best technology jobs. Another career that also has a good salary is the career of Computer Programmer that makes $71,000 and an person that works in the Army there salary would be $45,000. The career that I was named was the career of a solider in the Army and if I wanted to live in a house in NYC there is houses more than $1,800 for the rent of a house. Now if I want to buy a house there are houses at course a lot for example $6,000 and more. There are some houses that come win electric, water, and heat. But there are other house hat come with one or maybe even two because living in NYC is to much cost. The electric of a company can cost $130 or more, the water can cost like around $150, and he heat like around $100 is you want to cook. But now if you want to buy a cell phone you got to plan monthly $50 or more to any company. Also, you would need to waste money of food like around $100 if you want to cook and eat. You are going to need to waste money for clothing like $200 or $250 if you are in the Army. You want to have Cable TV/Internet you will need to pay the cable more like around $80 monthly. Also, if you live in NYC you would need to pay taxes 18% of your salary and in this incase for a Army solider it would be $36,900 a year, $3,075 in a month. In total, all the chargers that you need to spend in NYC to have a living it would be $2,810 in a month. That person would have $265 save in a month just for him. Now, if you are a Web Developer and make $43,000 a year, $3,583 a month, and 1,791 every two weeks. If you live in NYC it would be the same chargers and you would be able to live here and would save $295. Plus, the final job career would be a Computer Programmer in NYC you would get pay well. If I do the same steps on this career it would come $71,000 a year, $5,916 monthly and $2,958 every 2 weeks. In the other hands, if I do the same steps the salary would come $58,220 a year with taxes yearly. If you live in NYC you would save $2,041 and that person would have money to spend just for him.

What will I be doing financially in 5 years?

  In 5 years, I will see myself in my own apartment living by myself being independent. But first I will need to finish college and study my career that I want to learn. But also before that I need to get a part time job in the summer to try to save up money. Money that I will get pay on my part-time job and also I put 60% of my payment on my bank so I can pay my college classes and supplies. But am also making to get two jobs so I can have extra money to later on find a apartment of $3,500 - ^. I will still keep on studying and hopefully be graduated as a Computer Engineering. The other 40% of money from my payment from my part time job would be paying my cell phone and internet bills. And, maybe also I will have money for me for clothes,shoes and food. As well, with the help of my parents am also planning to have a Car not sure which one yet but I would like to have a Toyota car at least for $4,000 or more.  I really want to finish my education and get a job of my career, but I also have a backup job. It's always good to have a backup job/plan if things don't go good and that backup would be to work in a restaurant. I have work experience in a restaurant as a fast boy and cooking I have work in 3 different types of restaurants. Also, in those 3 different restaurants I have got pay $250 weekly and 25% more on my second job and 35% more on my last work. I have save up money, but I have use some for emergency things.

The CTE Expo - 2/12/2015

Web Design 2015 Students !

 
  The CTE Expo is an event that gives the new freshman's in the school a chance to show all our best work in the academies we are. And we offer the freshman's  information and why they should join our academy. The CTE Expo. academies consist of Web Design, Apple, and Video Production to freshman's if they want to join a academy. And also it takes place in each academies classes, also by their teacher. The person that makes possible to do this CTE Expo. for freshman's are Mrs.Ramirez from Web Design and also the other teachers from the other academy.

This Feb.12, 2015 was the CTE Expo and like every year the Sophomores, Juniors, and the Seniors come together in our class Web Design to show our work that we do in class. There were 9 periods and each periods were different studies from each grade. Most students had to make a board or a poster from there best project that they did in class. All students had to be dress to show that our academy is a professional environment. The results were great, because all the students from Web Design gave their all from all 3 grades. There were a lot of freshman's that were interest in this academy and they like the games the in Junior year we make in Web Design.

The work process as Web Desinger

The process of becoming a Web Designer is easy and you have to be very creative. If a web designer is going to create a website for this client he needs to have a site map to show its client where is the context going to be located and images. He/She needs to contract that define roles of elements that he/she is going to use. The web designer needs to have a layout for the website and also a wireframe show the elements planning for the final website. Also the person has troubleshot the webpage to see if it works on the internet and finally upload it. For my project 2, I didn't had time to make a wireframe or a site map but I create a new layout for my website. I had 3 colors that look like a pattern and also I didn't want to have a lot of colors. I put information about my website and the prodcast I heard. And his process would help me more to crete the website fast and also how my client would want. I could improve my website in putting more context about the project and the prodcast. I would apply my skills that I have learn this year and try to make my website look more professional.

Self-Evaluation for Fall Term 2014 - 2015 in Web Design

Self-Evaluation

  In the fall term, I did alright according to my grade that I got and also I have learn a lot of web designing in this class. The last three marking periods I have learn to develop career and also have communication skills to design, create and maintain websites. The fall semester my whole class started to use CS6 Adobe Programs that were mostly the same as CS5. I have learn the other languages of web coding which were JavaScript and JQuery. I have practice the skills that I learn in class into my labs and projects. Also, I have always come early to class and never been absent because this Web Design class is the most important class for me. The most fun, easy and enjoyable lab that was for me was lab 13 because in lab 13 I had to make a picture clone ones you click on it with JQuery.
  In the other hand, a project that was fun, easy and enjoyable was my project 1 the sarcastic website. The project was about a sarcastic topic that I had to apply my skills that I learned turning the fall term. And one hard, challenging, and boring was lab 15 because I had to make a contact lab but it was difficult to code it. It didn't came out as I wanted to and also it worked but not like I wanted. I can improve in giving my class work and homework on time. Also this last semester is going to get difficult and I need to do good in my last semester. I will need to study hard and review everything my teach gives me.

Project 2 - Marco Flores - Web Client Program 2014 - 2015

  In my Project 2, I had to create a website of any prodcast that our teacher gave us to hear. So, I choose one of Memory and Forgetten in a prodcast called RadioLab. In this prodcast, it was mostly about what was a memory and how our minds work. It also talked about forgetten and how it works isn our head. So, in this lab I decided to make a new and awesome layout for my last project in this semester. I also try to put a lot of context on my project and also I let the same layout to all my pages because I wanted hem to be e same. I put CSS style in my webpage especially in my context because I wanted to make it interesting. I didn't had time to use or to put JQuery because I didn't had that much time. As well, this new skill that I created together can help me in the future by creating new layouts to a website. But also, applying he information a website and how to apply CSS as well. Finally, I can say that's I also learn a lot of how Memories works.

Reflection on the Resume and Cover Letter Seminary 1/12/2015

 On Jan. 12 , 2015 the three academies Apple, Web Design and Video Production had a important meeting. We got a lesson of  how to build a professional resume with a cover letter. Mr. Morris was the guest speaker that spoke to all of us and gave us advices that we should follow in the future. He told us that the interview was very important and why it is important by telling us qwhat we should do before an interview. We should research the company to show that you interested in working for that worksite. Having your resume and cover letter just in case they want to look at it. And I learned that the cover letter needs to be updated for every work place that you apply to. Also, he told us of how to name the resume so the company you want to apply can know and read how's resume it is. He gave us a lot of tips of a resume and answer questions. Also, some of my classmates had their resumes and they gave it to Mr. Morris and it didn't go well. There were some mistakes on my classmates resume and he told us what was wrong also, how to fix it. He told us that it's important to not put things in the interment because that can stay and well not be able to delete it.

Marco Flores - Lab 18 - Web Client Program 2015

  In lab 18, I had to make a lab that applies more JQuery and also I had to apply some CSS style on it. In this lab, I had to make 4 boxes with buttons applying functions and also I had to use photos to move them. And I had to create buttons to make them go left to right and up to down, as well the opposite in the other two boxes. I couldn't do this lab I only did have because I couldn't fix the problem that I had. I couldn't make any button work but they appear and also I made them move when you press in it and move the mouse up/down and left/right. As well, I would need to learn how to fix it and what I I did wrong. Plus, I think it's the functions that I need to check it again or I misspell something wrong.

Marco Flores - Lab 17 - Web Client Program 2014

  In this lab 17 I had to make a lab of JQuery that applies all the 6 labs that we already did. And so we had to make boxes that when the mouse is on top it has to open. I had to insert each lab in side the box and there were labs from lab 11 - lab 16. So, I worked it out and put all the last inside the boxes but I couldn't do the first one that was to put two buttons that show day and night. I made it work outside but not inside of the boxes. As well, I apply some CSS in my lab so it can have the same pattern as the other labs. And I think this lab can help me in the future by working and having more skills in JQuery. In the other hand, I would know how to apply boxes on a page if the mouse clicks or goes on top it will open. I also apply two more buttons to my index and to the other one to my whole class webpage.
