Reflection for the QCC Trip - 12/17/2014

   On Wednesday,  December 18,  2014 my class the Web Client Program and the Digital Design (Juniors) went to a trip with our teacher Mrs.Ramirez to one of the best colleges in Queens. Queensborough Community College (QCC) was the place that we went and it was a beautiful college with a lot of careers and sports. We all had to be early to school and get on the bus at 8:20 am so we can leave early & get there early. We were 41 students in total seniors and juniors so we were separated in two groups. We were introduced to two stuff in QCC named Mrs.Montgomery and Mrs.O'Rouke that gave us bagels and drinks like some water & orange juice.

Then, all the seniors we went to take our CUNY ID photo in the basement that Mrs.Montgomery and Mrs.O'Rouke took us. We all went one by one and after there we all went outside and walk around plus we went to the Technology building. In the Technology building we went to a classroom full of computers and Mrs.Ramires's old teacher Professor Asser. And he was talking more about the careers that in the Technology (Computer Engineering) building has as well, we all sat in the classrooms. Above, there is a picture of the whole senior class with our CUNY ID photo that we took. As well, they said that we can go and visit classes with our ID. In the other hand, we all had fun time together and it was very interesting for me.

Once, when we were done in the computer class we went to the 3D Printer class. In there we got introduced to Professor Lawrence and he introduced to this new printer that could print real objects. We sat in this classroom there were computers and also he gave a little introduction to 3D Printer but talking about it and showing videos. As well, in his desk there were a lot of objects that a 3D Printer print out of and this objects were real & they had real colors. In the other hand, we went to another classroom (lab) and we got introduced to other few machines that can print out real objects. Plus, there was a video that we saw that in 2015 there will be airplanes made of 3D printers.

Finally, we got to met Edgar De Castro once again because he came to out College Fair in our school. But, he introduced us to more places in the QCC and we went inside & outside of the Theater building. And, we went all around the college and in the end we saw the Holocaust Center plus, we all took a picture of the whole Web Client Program & Digital Design class as a big group.

Marco Flores - Lab 16 - Web Client Program 2014

In my lab 16, I had to create a website that has animation JQuery skills. This skill was so impressed it was to make three buttons one for increase font, another was to decrease font and the last one was to put the table in the center. So, I had to write someone or something that inspires me to become someone better. I also used my CSS style and JQuery skills to make this wonderful lab of my creavition. I used my same method that I use every lab with the same background and same text of headings.  As well, I had to create a box and write inside text, alsoI had to add a picture inside the box. Plus, I also had to create my buttons with CSS style and everything I got it to work it was a little hard but I complete it. As well, this skill can help me in the future

Marco Flores - Lab 15 - Web Client Program 2014

  In lab 15, I had to make a lab describing what is a subject or object and as well create a contact me. So, I choose to write about my favorite subject Web Design and I described what it is & where I was up to this moment. I describe on what I did in my first year, second year and my last year on Web Design. I wrote it step by step on every programs I learn and I used in that year. As well, I put my wallpaper that I created it with Adobe Photoshop CS6 and my font, color text, & CSS style are the same because I wanted it to be same as my other labs. I apply JQuery on my lab because my whole lab is mostly JQuery the style and the link that is attach. Plus,this lab was a little difficult for me but I worked hard to make it work and it worked well. This skill can help me in the future by having more skills on JQuery and also in the future I will know how to make a contact information in a website.

Marco Flores - Lab 14 - Web Client Program 2014

In lab 14, I had to make a webpage with a new skill that I learned in class with JQuery. I had to write 2 - 3 paragraphs about my favorite class or subject in my school. So, I decided to write about my class Web Design known as Web Client Program, last year it was called Digital Design, and 2 years ago it was called Visual Design. I wrote 3 paragraphs about Web Design and also I had to make 2 boxes with text on it, it had to show text inside for example the first words of the sentence or any other type of words. Also, I put my background that I created it with my skills in Adobe Photoshop CS6 and I also apply CSS style on my lab 14. This new skill can help me in the future by creating paragraphs and I would know how to create boxes to put some words inside. As well, am improving in my webpages on my web design skills.

Marco Flores - Lab 12 - Web Client Program 2014

 In my lab 12, I had to make questions and answers of anything topic I want but I had to program them in a JQuery style. I had to put boxes once your mouse touches it it will open by going up and there will be the answer of the question. But the question had to by on top and they had to be at least 5 different questions. And this lab was a new skill of JQuery and also I put  CSS style for the font of my heading. As well, I created my own background the three colors mix of blue, black, and white I did it in Adobe PhotoShop CS6. Plus, I added two buttons to go back to my Index or go back to the WCP webpage. I really had fun on doing this lab 12 and learning more about JQuery as well this can help me in the future by programming boxes that open once your mouse goes over it. Finally, I think this new skill is really awesome I liked this lab and I might apply it to my new project.

Marco Flores - Lab 11 - Web Client Program 2014

    In lab 11 in my class Web Client Program I had to create a lab with two buttons that show day and night. If you click on he day button with show a day time picture and if you click on the night it will show a night time picture. So I used Adobe Photoshop CS6 to create two pictures of a city when it's in the day time and night time. I used my own creativity to make two cities and once I was done I put them in my HMTL webpage for my lab 11. Also, I used HMTL and CSS style to create my webpage as well I used two different CSS styles to make my day and night buttons. Plus, this week we started learning JQuery and how JQuery is a high level of HTML,CSS style, Java and more all together to make it a little more easy to make a website or webpage. So, I also had to attach JQuery in my lab 11 so it can work and I had to attach it as a link. This lab can help me in the future by learning more of JQuery and how it works. As well, I can learn new skills with JQuery and how I can make much better labs or projects better.

Project 1 - Sarcastic Website (Smoking) - Marco Flores WCP 2014

  In project 1 for my class Web Client Program I had to make a sarcastic website and my topic was smoking. I decide to choose this website because I though this was going to be a good topic to make it looked sarcastic. So, I decide to choose a nice background of lungs that burn but I wanted put some crazy context on it I didn't had time to do it. Also, I did a good banner for it with Adobe Photoshop CS6 and I make it cool in my opinion with dark colors. I only use HTML elements and CSS style to make my website, I didn't had time to use JavaScript. I had two buttons that change color when the mouse arrow is on top from purple to light purple. As well, a little sarcastic paragraph and a rollover with 4 sarcastic pictures that describe smoking is cool.

 In my second website for my project 1 I decide to have the same background,marquee text, and banner so it repeat. And as well it has my two CSS style of buttons for my home and 2nd webpage to click and it works. Also, I put only 2 reasons why smoking is good I would like to add more but I didn't had that much time. So I put two pictures of why smoking is good and two gifs of two people smoking. As well, I forgot to put the webpage of where I got the images from, because they weren't mine but I had to give them credit (copyrights). This project will help me in the future by knowing how to keep learning to create more website and match text color. Also, if I had to put the copyrights of the images I use because most of them aren't mine or I didn't create them.
